Urbanity

The image above which I had taken not too long ago gave me a real sense of typical urbanity.

Look at the towers. Towers like these are so common around the world, or at least they are here in the UK. They’re not the most pleasing thing to look at, nor do they look like the best place to live in. However, it’s typical as I mentioned before, scenes like this are everywhere. Just where did we go wrong with building? What happened to architectural designs and good to look at buildings? This isn’t the early 1900s when people lived in high-rise tenements which were not sturdy, and were build poorly. We’re in the 21st century! People in all previous centuries would probably have thought that by the 21st century, all of our problems would be solved, no poverty, no hunger and luxury living for all. But towers like these that are 20 – 30 years old are just a joke. This scene would be considered ‘good’ believe it or not – there are much worse scenes than this, however, they all look the same. Old, displeasing towers, built right next to motorways.

Will we ever live in paradise?
