It’s a brilliant camera. You don’t need to be a professional photographer to have and use this camera. You don’t even have to have any photography knowledge. It’s so user friendly, that a toddler could use it. And yet, it combines the simpleness of “point and shoot” with the advanced photographic techniques of professionals. It’s not light as a feather, yet not as heavy as a brick – It’s perfect when it comes to weight. It’s looks are also stunning. This is no camera to be looked down at, it is beautiful in every single way, and feels brilliant, no matter how you hold it. It is simply the Camera for any photography enthusiast.
As I have already mentioned, the User Interface on this thing, is just unbelievably simple, yet brilliant. With a handy manual and a CD ROM to help you along the way, it’s easy to navigate your way around the easy to understand menus and features. It’s slightly more advance, but very similar to Fujifilm’s previous operational menus and features.

The Fuji has everything you would expect from a high quality DSLR Bridge Camera, and more. It boasts a 30x Zoom with 16 MP images. What makes this camera so special, is the fact that it has a manual zoom, rather than a motor powered one. It is one of the only Bridge Cameras on the market, that has a manual zoom, and focus ring. Many professional photographers prefer the manual zoom, as it gives the photographer more choice and control on the magnification in both pictures and videos.
Speaking of videos, the HS20 EXR also has full HD 1080p Video Recording, as well as many other customisable qualities, such as Slow Motion and Standard quality.
Now, one of the best features of this camera, is the tilting screen. This particular Fuji, allows you to tilt the screen out, up, and down, making it easier for you to see what you are doing, in almost ANY position.
The FujiFilm also has a very special viewfinder. When turned on, you can choose to look at the High Res. screen or through the viewfinder. However, here’s the clever part, the Fuji has sensors that detect weather you are looking through the viewfinder or not, and chooses where to display the screen. You can choose to disable this feature easily, but why would you?
The Fuji has lots of buttons and knobs, all of which are easy to understand after reading up on them, and most make the shooting experience easier, and simplified. For example, the one push button to record video straight away.
The Fujifilm HS20 EXR is the best in the market, when it comes to features on a DLSR Bridge Camera.
The FujiFilm HS20EXR is great to hold. You really feel like a pro, when holding the HS20. You know you are holding something that withholds great power and ability, and you can’t help but feel that extra special.
It’s not too heavy, yet not too light, it’s just right, weighing approximately 730g including batteries.
The Fujifilm runs on AA batteries, but gives you the choice of inserting Alkaline, Rechargeable, or even Lithium batteries, and you are prompted to select the batteries in use, in order to achieve maximum performance.
This camera also has rubber grips all rounds, and moulded areas, to make handling that bit easier, and to comfort the photographer.
The FujiFilm HS20 EXR is a joy to use and hold, and is suitable for every photographer.
In the box, in most countries,we find a few accessories included with our Camera.
Fist of all, in most cases, the Fuji comes with a set of 4 batteries, to get you started. That’s a rare thing now a day, but is handy, just to get you started.
The Fuji also comes with a Lens Hood, a device used on the end of a lens to block the sun or other light source in order to prevent glare and lens flare.
We also get a lens cap, essential for keeping your lens clean, and for preventing damage when not in use! Just remember to take it off before shooting!
Finally, we find a Fuji neck strap, which is a hassle to attatch, but worth it. Camera Straps save thousands of cameras from breaking and dropping to their death every year. Probably.
As well as that, we find the standard User Guide, and CD ROM containing a more detailed Manual, and MyFinePix Studio software.
Overall, I think this is a great Camera for it’s price range. It has everything you would ever want from a DLSR Bridge Camera, and more. Once again, it does not matter who you are – amateur or professional, this Camera is suited to people of all abilities. I would thoroughly recommend this Camera, as the perfect gift for the keen photographer, and all other reviews have been just as good as this, if not, better. The Fujifilm HS20 EXR is one of the Highest Rated Bridge Cameras of all time, and boasts the technology of tomorrow.
Mind you, it’s not the Camera, it’s the photographer!
